Rick Martin, president of Wheatland Custom Homes, has been elected president of the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Lancaster County for 2009. Martin was officially installed at a BIA banquet held at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster on January 8. Read it here.

Wheatland completed its first “Green Certified” home at 8 Redwood Drive, Enola, and it took 5 out of 6 awards (4 Gold, 1 Silver) in this year’s Pennsylvania Parade of Homes.
Wheatland received Gold awards in the categories of Exterior, Interior, Master Bath/Suite, and Landscaped, and a Silver award for Kitchen. Every year the Pennsylvania Parade of Homes showcases the finest newly constructed homes in the Harrisburg region.
The 2008 Pennsylvania Parade of Homes is sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg. The home is on display during the Parade, October 4-12.
Renovations & Additions Magazine—Harrisburg chose a Wheatland Custom Homes project as their cover story for their summer 2008 edition. The nearly 600 sq. ft. addition included a sunroom and deck, and 400 sq. ft. of the interior was renovated to include a new front entry way, formal dining area. Extensive exterior work included stone work, siding, and roofing as well as new garage doors.

The Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg honored members who competed in their 15th annual Pyramid Award during ceremonies at the Radisson Penn Harris Hotel and Convention Center on Friday, May 9, 2008.
Wheatland Custom Homes, Inc. received awards for Best Single-Family Spec Home 2,001 to 3,000 Square Feet Under $400,000 and Best One Page Mailer/Flyer. The Pyramid Awards is a nationally recognized program administered throughout the country’s local Home Builder Association chapters. They honor the best in building, remodeling, sales, and marketing from the previous year.

Rick Martin, president of Wheatland Custom Homes, was honored by the Building Industry Association of Lancaster County as the 2001 Builder Distinguished Service Award Winner. This award is presented to the builder who exemplifies outstanding service to the association, community, and industry.
The 2000 Fulton Award was presented to Wheatland Custom Homes for their townhome entry at 1525 Hickory Run, Elizabethtown. The Fulton Award is the most prestigious award presented annually at the Lancaster Parade of Homes.
